Vacuum Systems
The benefits of adding vacuum to compression molding have been know by seal manufacturers for many years. Today other molding companies find that vacuum shortens cure times, reduces scrap, and improves part quality by eliminating degas issues. EMPCO provides two designs: one design uses a vacuum box to encapsulate the mold only, the other actually encapsulates the entire press opening with steel doors(as shown below). Try a vacuum press today, and increase shop productivity, with improved quality, and more parts per cycle.

Slabside, 4-Post, and C'Frame Presses:
Heavy duty slabside, 4-post, and "C"-Frame plate presses designed for service where absolute minimum deflection is required. For use with your hydraulic system or furnished with individual pumping unit. Complete line of sizes available.
EMPCO manufactures equipment as small as 12" x 12" bed area up to some of the largest sizes of 108" x 120". Some of the most popular features that our presses include are shown below:
Rugged Construction - ideally suited for industries requiring consistent high accuracy molding.
Minimal Deflection - all EMPCO presses are manufactured to exacting engineering requirements to prevent deflection of all components under load.
Single Acting or Double Acting Ram - EMPCO insures positive pressure and minimal leakage on all our presses.
MAXIMUM PRODUCTION CAPACITY FOR A MINIMAL INVESTMENT.
Standardized Construction - assures greater reliability and cost effectiveness.

EMPCO manufactures hydraulic circuits with 2 pump systems at standard speeds of 60IPM to 300IPM volume speeds(low pressure speeds) and 5IPM to 50IPM pressing(high pressure speeds). EMPCO also sells pre-fill systems with speeds up to 800IPM(low pressure speeds) with single pump systems. Some other options are below:
Multi-Press systems - Ideally suited for maximizing space and cost. Can run as many presses as needed. Please inquire.
Self-Contained systems - Hydraulic reservoirs, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and electric control box mounted on common drip pan.
EMPCO electrical circuits typically contain Allen Bradley 1000 Micro Series to 500 Series PLC controls. These are coupled with Panelview displays. EMPCO offers DC proportional control, linear positioning, bumping cycles, time delay, cycle programming, and Temperature profiling through the PLC. The systems EMPCO offers can be manual or automatically controlled or both. We build some of the most high tech systems for todays molding needs. Please contact to quote today!
